Kanawha Amateur Radio Club will conduct amateur radio technician cram courses beginning at 8 a.m. Check-in starts at 7:30 a.m. and the testing will begin at 1 p.m. The second course will be held at 1 p.m. with testing at 5 p.m. General and amateur extra class tests will be given. Upgrade candidates should bring a copy of their current FCC license. Instruction materials will be provided free of chart to the technician class students. There is a $15 fee for the technician, general and amateur extra class tests. Technician class students must have two pieces of identification, one of which must be a photo ID. Kanawha County Association of Retired School Employees will meet for a catered chili dinner at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1600 Kanawha Blvd. E. The price is $12 per person. Malden Public Service District board of commissioners will meet at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the district office in the administrative building of the treatment facility.
