The WX4USA Ham Radio Weather/Disaster Portal would like to be your Ham Radio Weather/Disaster resource on the web. There are many great websites online today and my vision is to create a site that allows users to access as many Weather/Disaster related Ham Radio articles and websites as possible…with ease….all on one website. But much more than just a huge repository of boring links…I envision community articles, videos, audio as well as related links.

During severe weather and disasters, radio amateurs are incredibly valuable as they relay live weather information, storm spotter updates, shelter information and even provide post event damage assessment assistance as needed. Additionally, amateur radio operators are able to communicate locally and even worldwide when all other forms of communication fail.

I envision emergency communications resources that can all be found easily on one website. Licensing and testing information for prospective hams. Continuing education links and info. Weather and storm spotter resources. Frequency allocations and repeater directories. Vendor links. Information can also be found about specific special events and simulated emergency tests. Interested in a specific mode of communication that may be used in emergencies such as APRS, dStar or even satellites, you’ll find it here. Club and group links and much much more.

So send me links and together lets build the most amazing cross web Weather/Disaster Related Ham Radio Resource.

Together, we will learn how to better serve in times of need.
