RINGWOOD – Services were held for Raymond Steliga, 91, of Oakland, who died on Saturday, April 21, 2012. He was the father of Laurie Steliga of this community.
Born in Elizabeth, Mr. Steliga lived in Oakland for more than 50 years. He was a co-owner and co-operator of Imperial Home Builders. Also, he was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. A ham radio operator known as KA2HQK, he was a member of the Ramapo Mountain Amateur Radio Club as well. And, he was a soccer and baseball Little League coach.
Services were Thursday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help R.C. Church, Oakland, followed by burial at Christ the King Cemetery, Franklin Lakes. Arrangements were by the Oakland Memorial Home, Oakland.
Mr. Steliga also is survived by his other children, Christine Van Broekhoven of Franklin Lakes, Janice Cressman of Erie County, Pa., Nancy Kempf of Sparta, and Rob Steliga of Collegeville, Pa.; 16 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was predeceased by his wife, Rose.
