RADIO equipment dating back to the 1930s was on display at HJ Daley Library at Campbelltown last month.
The Fisher’s Ghost Amateur Radio Club hosted an exhibition featuring a variety of radio and transmission devices.
Club treasurer Lynn Kelly said the radio devices on display included old defence equipment which had been sourced from club members.
Mrs Kelly said even though some of the equipment was old, it could still be used.
“In the event of a natural disaster where satellite communication is knocked out, this can be used by emergency services to communicate.”
Mrs Kelly said the radio equipment attracted attention from scout groups as well as those with an interest in electronics. Members of the club also operated their radio equipment in Koshigaya Park last week.
